Meet the Team!

Keli’i Beyer, Outreach Educator

When not presenting to teens with the Teen Alert Program, Keli’i can be found teaching art and writing classes to the awesome and resilient youth of Hawai’i. In his free time, Keli’i jams the saxophone in two local O’ahu bands, enjoys riding his motorcycle and skateboards, and can be found doodling cartoons. He enjoys traveling to exotic places, practicing his native Hawaiian culture, and getting tattooed. Someday, he hopes to be a published sci-fi novelist and comic book artist.

Ixchel Samaniego, Outreach Educator

Ixchel is so excited to be part of the Teen Alert Program here in Hawai’i working on such an important issue! A lover of all arts and creativity, she loves to dance, sing, discover new music, and stand up paddle board. Ixchel has worked in education for over 10 years all over the U.S. and is eager to work with as much of the youth population in Hawai’i as she can. She is most excited to help empower them in finding their voice, realizing they are enough, and having the tools to help themselves and others.

Causha Spellman, Teen Advocate

Causha has dedicated her life to working with youth all over the country, which is why she is more than excited to join the TAP team as the Teen Advocate! As the Teen Advocate, Causha will work with you one-on-one on your journey to safety. She is able to assist in many formal and not-so-formal methods towards that safety, from being just someone to confide in, to creating safety plans and accompanying you to court proceedings. When Causha is not advocating for you, you can find her in her free time doing almost anything, including hiking, going to the movies, spending time at the beach, or most importantly, making time for those she loves. She is looking forward to working with you all!
